Shark RV1001AE IQ
This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a decent job on hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges, and automatically increases suction as soon as it detects carpet. It also excels at cleaning dirt that is embedded in mid-pile carpet. The IQ's small footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are great features. However, if you wish to change the floor levels on the map, or set no-go zones you'll have manually reset it to do this, which is somewhat of trouble.
The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities but it's missing no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing system of the app permits for better maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is effective, although it can get stuck on the tassels of the rug.
In our tests, the IQ was able to handle pet hair with ease, removing huge amounts of hair from bare floors and moderate amounts from medium-pile carpet. It was less effective with shag carpets, as it had a hard time reaching dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to maneuver chair legs, small spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice it was a bit slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.
The IQ is a better option than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on charge and is capable of maneuvering itself around obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that can deal with sticky messes. The iRobot is, however, is more sturdy and has less components that require replacement or maintenance, incurs less cost per year, and can create virtual no go zones with its companion application. It is able to continue cleaning where it left off even if its battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an advantage for many users.
Eufy 11S
The eufy RoboVac 11S robot vacuum isn't one of the most advanced models, but it offers powerful cleaning power at an affordable price. The RoboVac 11S is made for those who are budget conscious and don't need a complex mapping system, or even an app, to control it. This robot can last for over an hour. It comes with a remote control, cleaning tool and AC power adapter.
The 11S is slim and sleek with an upper deck of tempered glass that covers plastic finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice change from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
The eufy11S performed well in our tests of removing larger particles and fine dust from hard floors. It struggled to deep clean high-pile and medium-pile carpets. The device also has a tendency to bump into furniture and people in its path however, it's able detect obstacles with sensors. If it encounters them it halts and emits a loud sound so you can manually steer it through the obstacle before getting back to work.
Another fantastic feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to robot vacuum cleaner set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match the floor type and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to your desired place.
Single Room Mode is a great alternative if you have a small amount of furniture in the space you want to vacuum. The eufy will spend 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the space it's assigned to.

Its air-sealed and allergy-friendly design traps allergens to keep your family safe. It comes with an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin so you don't need any additional filters or a vacuum bag.
It's not as effective as the more expensive models, but it's excellent for deep cleaning and tackling the toughest stains. It has two front cameras that deliver a live feed to your smartphone. It also comes with one of the most advanced obstacle avoidance systems. It also comes with a huge dustbin, long runtime, and a fast, bump-free clean-up.
