The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features of its more expensive sibling.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of one button. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.
This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with future models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it encounters a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right, such as a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.
You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can need. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a set path.
The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a premium category. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
